Our volunteers and interns form a vital part of the CCAS team. They assist in all areas of our organisations operations, learning new skills and gaining useful experience alongside our professional and experienced staff. CCAS are always looking for enthusiastic arts-oriented people to work with.

Volunteer duties can include

  • Minding the gallery on Saturdays. Making sure that the gallery is open and all AV are functioning if required during opening hours
  • Assisting artists and staff with install and de-install of exhibitions
  • Being knowledgeable about current exhibitions to represent CCAS as an active interface between exhibitions and the audience
  • Keeping archives up to date
  • Working on marketing and fundraising opportunities

  • A regular commitment to CCAS
  • Contribute where possible to all other duties in the gallery
  • Flexibility and willingness to help out when needed
  • Attending periodic meetings with other volunteers and staff

Work Experience

CCAS has some flexibility to host a student at the Year 12 level (only) for five days during an installation week at our Gorman Arts Centre location.
