Mentees:

CCAS JUMP Program
JUMP to continue in 2013 with a new delivery model

With our 2012 JUMP artist cohort entering the last few months of their mentorship period, it is time for us to share with you some news regarding the future of the JUMP program.

After three years of successful program delivery through Youth Arts Queensland in collaboration with our State and Territory delivery partner organisations, JUMP is strongly positioned to continue next year. The Australia Council for the Arts will be working with an industry partner to deliver the program in 2013.

The 2013 JUMP program will support early career artists, curators and producers across artforms, who will be able to apply directly to the Australia Council to fund a mentorship.

Applications for the 2013 JUMP program are set to open on Monday, 3 September 2012. Please note that you will no longer receive regular JUMP eblasts, and you will need to visit www.jumpmentoring.com.au to find out about updated program and application guidelines.

Until 3 September, we encourage you to continue following JUMP and its current artists via Facebook and Twitter, or contact Laura Naimo, Program Officer, Early Career Artists and Producers Program, Australia Council for the Arts via email l.naimo@australiacouncil.gov.au or phone (02) 9215 9129.

Youth Arts Queensland would like to take this opportunity to thank our current JUMP delivery partner organisations including Carclew Youth Arts (SA), Propel Youth Arts WA, Carriageworks (NSW), Melbourne Fringe (VIC), Canberra Contemporary Art Space (ACT), Corrugated Iron (NT) and Contemporary Art Spaces Tasmania for their support and contribution to the program’s successful delivery over the past three years.

We would also like to acknowledge the support of the Australia Council for the Arts, Liquid Interactive, the Government of Western Australia through the Department of Culture and the Arts, Training Facilitation Group, BHP Billiton, ArtsHub, Access Arts Queensland, and the invaluable critical feedback of all our selection panel members and industry experts.

And last but not least, a huge thank you to all our JUMP artists, mentors and alumni who shaped this program and made it such a huge success.
