In association with National Child Protection Week Sept 3-9, 2006, CCAS Manuka is proud to present an exhibition by Cheryl Jobsz. Walking the Talk is an evocative and tactile installation of cast shoes using pulped paper. Jobsz’s installation suggests that the ephemera in our physical world holds more than simply the matter from which its constructed. The cast shoe fragments seem to embody memory itself, and with it the connections and sense of community we establish in our lives.
