Matter

The material world consists of the five elements fire, earth, air, water and space; these are represented by the colours red, yellow, green, white and blue respectively.  These elements are constantly undergoing a process of change; forming and reforming; arising and passing; manifesting in infinite combinations; creating the constantly changing phenomena of the material world.

In this work the vibrancy that is created by the different combinations of the five colours generates a sense of energy and movement that hints at the ever-evolving transformations of energy underlying the material world.
