The dot, the hole and the puncture

It began with a deep affinity for objects. So I read a lot about thing-ness, different ways of thinking and feeling about objects. There is the longing, the collecting, the intimacy, the distance ... there is always the distance. I sense this potential for melancholy in the object, or rather in humans relating to objects.

The dot is the process. Reality seems more easily undone and remade when viewed as lots of bits. The hole is absence but equally pesence. And the puncture is because everything breaks in the end.

This is an exhibition about objects that have become things, last things.
